Vidyasiri Scholarship:-

Vidyasiri Scholarship is a type of scholarship scheme which is provided by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Karnataka. This scholarship is mainly given to the SC/ST/OBC/PWD category students who are pursuing an education in post-matric programs.

The primary aim of this scholarship is the educational growth and enhancement of the studies of Karnataka who are belonging to the weaker sections of the society and has low economic status and belong to SC/ST/OBC/PWD. To promote education in the state, this Scholarship scheme was launched by the Karnataka govt. Vidyasiri scholarship is playing a crucial role for the students who are willing, have the talent to do something as well as are ambitious, and want to achieve something in their lives through education.

Department of backward classes welfare of the state of Karnataka is extending their constant help and support for the meritorious students belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC category students to allow them to study without any financial burden and pursue their dream career through education. Every year hundreds of category students are highly benefited from this Vidyasiri Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:-

This scholarship is only for Karnataka citizens.
A student should be a permanent citizen of Karnataka state
The total SC/ST Candidates’ family income should not be more than Rs.2 Lakh per annum.
OBC candidate’s family income should not be more than Rs.1 lakh per annum.
Candidates who are applying for any other scholarship, are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Applicants must have 75% of attendance.
9th to Graduate, postgraduate degree applicants can apply for this scholarship.

Rewards:-

Vidyasiri Scholarship rewards amount is good. Students will be offered an amount of Rs.1500 monthly.
