NSP Scholarship or the National Scholarship Portal was launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information technology, Government of India. Through the National Scholarship Portal, the candidates can apply for different scholarship schemes provided by the Central and State Govt. The government has developed various financial plans to help the students who cannot support their education due to low family income and other economic problems. Through this NSP scheme, the students who lack behind in their path to education can be benefited, as the govt has initiated many scholarship schemes to help them pursue their higher education.
The Information and Technology Ministry has ensured proper education facilities to all the eligible and needy students of India who belong to the economically weaker sections of the society and cannot complete their higher education. This scholarship scheme applies to the students studying in schools, colleges and universities. They need not visit the govt offices for registration, and they can easily apply online through the National Scholarship Portal from the official website.

Ishan Uday Special Scholarship scheme –
The candidates must belong to the North Eastern States, which are Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland.
The candidate must be a single girl in the family.
The applicant must be less than 30 years of age.
The student’s entire family income must be less than 4.5 lakhs.
PG scholarship of University Rank Holders –
The applicant must belong to any category (SC, ST, OBC)
The student must have scored 60% in their graduation.
The applicant must be studying in their first year of post-graduation.
The candidate can be a minimum of 30 years of age.

Post Matric Scholarship-
For OBC students, an amount of Rs 750 is given per month.
For SC/ST, Rs 1200 is awarded to the students per month.
Pre Matric Scholarship-
For SC and ST category students, the scholarship amount is Rs 3500 per year.
For OBC students, the scholarship amount is Rs 1000 per annum.
For the disabled candidate, Rs 1700 per month is awarded.
For the applicants belonging to the Minorities, Rs 120 per month is provided.
There is no merit list for the renewal candidates. The scholarship will be renewed if the applicant has scored atleast 50% in their last appeared examination.
