BIKASH BHAVAN SCHOLARSHIP:-
Bikash Bhavan scholarship is also known as the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM). It was launched by the West Bengal State Govt. The Bikash Bhavan scholarship provided monetary help to deserving and eligible students from the economically backward sections of the state.
Its main objective is to increase the literacy rate of the state by assisting the category of students in pursuing their education without any financial burden. The Bikash Bhavan Scholarship is available for the students studying in classes 11, 12, Diploma or Graduation, Post-graduation, and Ph.D. levels. Many students lack behind in their education due to poor financial conditions and low family income.
Such students are provided help economically to continue their education and build promising careers in the future. It is one of the biggest Scholarship schemes conducted by the Govt of West Bengal, allowing thousands of students each year to pursue proper education and fulfill their dreams. Eligibility Criteria:-
The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal state
The student should be studying at class 10 level or above class 11-12 or undergraduate or postgraduate level in West Bengal
The candidate must have passed out from a state board
The total family income should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh per year
For higher secondary levels, the minimum marks obtained is 70%
For diploma or polytechnic, a minimum of 75% marks is required
For the Under-Graduate level, the necessary signatures are 75%
For Postgraduate level, the student must be studying honors and have scored 55% marks
For Kanyashree applicant, the candidate must have a valid K2 ID and have scored 45% marks
Rewards of Bikash Bhavan Scholarship:-
For Applicants of Non-NET MPhil – scholarship amount of Rs 5000 is given per month.
Applicants of Non-NET Ph.D. – an amount of Rs 8000 per month is awarded.
Students pursuing Postgraduate in Arts – A scholarship amount of Rs 2000 is provided per month.
Students pursuing Postgraduate in Commerce – the scholarship amount is Rs 2000 per month.
Students studying Postgraduate in Science – A scholarship amount of Rs 2500 per month is given.
Applicants pursuing Postgraduate in Other UGC approved Professional courses – An amount of Rs 2500 is awarded per month.
For undergraduate students in Arts – the scholarship amount is Rs 1000 per month.
Undergraduates in Commerce – scholarship amount is Rs 1000 per month.
Undergraduates in Diploma courses – A scholarship amount of Rs 1500 is provided per month.

Selection Criteria:-
The applications submitted are sorted in order of marks obtained.
The merit list is generated based on the merit and availability of the submitted documents.
