Educational Qualification:
Candidates must pass Graduation Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
* For SI in Delhi Police male candidates must have a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car).

Age:
As on 01/01/2016 applicants age limit should be 20 years to 25 years. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates 5 years, for OBC candidates 3 years and for other reserve category candidates as per the Govt. Rules.

Selection Process:
Selection will be made through a written test, physical endurance test (PET) and physical standard test

Physical Standards:
1. Male Candidates:
a. General: Height should be 170 cms, Chest should be 80 cms & expanded 85 cms.
b. For Hill area candidate: Height should be 165 cms, Chest should be 80 cms & expanded 85 cms.
c. For ST: Height should be 162.5 cms, Chest should be 77 cms & expanded 82 cms.

2. Female Candidates:
a. General: Height should be 157 cms
b. For Hill area candidate: Height should be 155 cms
c. For ST: Height should be 154 cms

Physical Endurance Test (PET):
Male candidates:
1. 100 meter race in 16 seconds
2. 1.6 Km race in 6.5 minutes
3. High Jump: 1.2 meter in 3 chances
4. Long Jump: 3.65 meter in 3 chances
5. Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 meter in 3 chances

Female candidates:
1. 100 meter race in 18 seconds
2. 800 meter race in 4 minutes
3. High Jump: 0.9 meter (3 feet) in 3 chances.
4. Long Jump: 2.7 meter (9 feet) in 3 chances.

Application Fee:
The candidates should have to pay a non refundable application fee of Rs. 100/- through SBI Challan/ Net banking and any credit and debit cards. No application fee required for Female / SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen category candidates
