RRB Eligibility Criteria 2026: Age Limit, Qualification & Documents Required List: Welcome to the eligibility section. The biggest mistake students make is applying for the wrong post and getting rejected at the Document Verification (DV) stage.

1. Educational Qualification (Post-Wise):
- For Group D (Level-1): You must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) OR hold an ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT). Note: The rule regarding ITI has been relaxed for certain posts, so 10th pass is sufficient for many departments.
- For Technician: You need Matriculation + ITI in relevant trades. However, for the “Signal & Telecom” post, 12th Pass (Physics & Maths) is also eligible.
- For NTPC:
- Undergraduate Posts (Clerk/Typist): 12th Pass.
- Graduate Posts (Station Master/Guard): Any Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Age Limit (As of July 1, 2026):
The government has provided age relaxation this year due to the delayed calendar.
- General / EWS: 18 to 33 Years.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 18 to 36 Years (3 Years Relaxation).
- SC / ST: 18 to 38 Years (5 Years Relaxation).
3. Documents Required for Online Application:

- Recent Color Photograph: White background is preferred (size 20kb-50kb).
- Signature: Blue or Black ink on white paper.
- Category Certificate: If you are claiming OBC/SC/ST reservation, you need the certificate number.
