Educational Qualification:
For Soldier General Duty and Soldier Tradesmen post candidates must pass class 10th with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Soldier General Duty (ST) and Soldier Tradesmen(House Keeper and Mess Keeper) post candidates must pass class 8th standard. For Soldier Technical posts candidates must pass class 12th with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 10th class pass with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. For Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper posts candidates must pass class 12th with minimum 40% in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate.

Age Limit & Physical Standards:
1. Soldier General Duty: Candidates age limit should be 17 1/2 years to 21 years.
a. Height: 169 cms for ST category candidates 162 cms.
b. Weight: 50 kgs and 48 kgs for ST category
c. Chest: 77 cms 82 cms (expanded).

2. Soldier Tradesmen: Candidates age limit should be 17 1/2 years to 23 years.
a. Height: 169 cms for ST category candidates 162 cms.
b. Weight: 48 kgs.
c. Chest: 76 cms and 81 cms (expanded).

3. Soldier Technical: Candidates age limit should be 17 1/2 years to 23 years.
a. Height: 169 cms for ST category candidates 162 cms.
b. Weight: 50 kgs and 48 kgs for ST category
c. Chest: 77 cms 82 cms (expanded).

4. Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical: Candidates age limit should be 17 1/2 years to 23 years

Selection will be made through a Screening test, Written test, Physical Fitness Test and Physical Measurement Test and Medical examination.
