Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have passed Madhyamik Examination (class 10 th) under W.B.B.S.E or its equivalent examinations
Physical Standards:
1. Constable :
a. Minimum Height: 167 cms.
b. Minimum Chest: 78 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
c. Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
* GORKHA, GARWALI, RAJBANSI & ST:
a. Minimum Height: 160 cms.
b. Minimum Chest: 76 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
c. Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
2. Lady Constable:
a. Minimum Height: 160 cms.
b. Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
* GORKHA, GARWALI, RAJBANSI and ST:
a. Minimum Height: 152 cms.
b. Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
Age:
As on 01/01/2015 applicants age limit should be 18 years to 27 years. Upper age relaxation for reserve category candidates as per the Govt. Rules.
** SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates of other states will be treated as General (un-reserved) category.
Selection Process:
Selection will be made through a written test, physical standard test, Physical Efficiency Test followed by Interview and Medical Examination. Physical Efficiency qualifying standard for constable post will be 600 meters Run to be completed within 6 minutes and 30 seconds and for Lady Constable post will be 400 meters Run to be completed within 02 minutes.
Application Fee:
The candidates should have to pay a non refundable application fee of Rs. 150/- through online mode by using Debit Cards or Credit Cards or Net-Banking of any Bank. No Application fee required for SC / ST candidates of West Bengal only.
Application Procedure:
Candidates may apply online mode or offline mode through prescribed format (which is given with the official notification) within 19/12/2015. I personally suggest don’t wait for the last date, should apply as early as possible.
