You must have the original copies of these documents to scan and upload. Photocopies are often rejected by the system.
- Aadhaar Card: This is mandatory. Crucial Tip: Ensure your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card for OTP verification. If it isn’t, go to an update center today.
- 10th & 12th Marksheets: You will need your Roll Number and exact percentage/CGPA from these sheets.
- Domicile Certificate (Niwas Praman Patra): This proves you are a permanent resident of the state. (If you don’t have this, apply for it at your local Tehsil immediately; it takes 7-10 days).
- Income Certificate: To prove your family income is below the limit (usually ₹2.5 Lakhs).
- Passport Size Photo: A recent color photograph with a clear background.
- Bank Account Passbook: The account should be in the student’s name. The money for the laptop is often transferred directly here via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- Active Mobile Number: Give a number that is currently switched on, as you will receive all updates there.
How to Apply Online: Step-by-Step Process
The application process has moved completely online for 2026 to ensure transparency. You don’t need to visit any government office.

- Student Registration: Click on “New Student Registration.” Enter your Name, Mobile Number, and Email.
- Fill the Form: Carefully enter your details exactly as they appear on your 10th-grade marksheet. Even a spelling mistake in your name can cause rejection.
- Upload Documents: Scan your documents clearly. Make sure the file size is under 200KB (use an online image compressor if needed).
- Submit & Print: Once you submit, you will get an “Application ID.” Write this down immediately. You will need it to check your name in the list later.
